状语从句又称副词性从句，指语句用作状语时，起副词作用的语句。它可以润饰谓语、非谓语动词、定语、状语或整个语句。根据其作用可分为时刻、地址、缘由、条件、意图、成果、让步、方法和比照等从句。状语从句一般由连词（隶属连词）引导，也可以由词组致使。从句位于句首或句中时一般用逗号与主句离隔，位于句尾时可以不必逗号离隔。
1.时刻状语从句
常用引导词：when, as, while, as soon as, before, after, since, till, until
特别引导词：the minute, the moment,
the second, every time, the day, the instant, immediately, directly, no sooner…than…, hardly…when, scarcely…when

8.方法状语从句
